How to upgrade your Rank and keep it

Rank Up

Each member's rank is decided by the amount of Rakuten Super Points earned and the number of times they were earned.
Kindly note one of the conditions for becoming a Diamond member is to own a Rakuten Credit Card (available only for Customers in Japan).

Regular
Earn points by using participating Rakuten services.
Silver
Those who have earned over 200 points in the last 6 months and earned more than 2 times.
Gold
Those who have earned over 700 points in the last 6 months and earned more than 7 times.
Platinum
Those who have earned over 2,000 points in the last 6 months and earned more than 15 times.
Diamond
Those who have earned over 4,000 points in the last 6 months and earned more than 30 times. and have Rakuten Card.

For example, the first time you use it you become a Regular member in January, and if the number of points you have obtained by June is over 200 then in July you become a Silver member.

Example of conditions for Ranking Up

Other Ranks work in the same way: you can level up if you fulfill the stipulated number of points and number of times points earned within 6 months.

Keeping Rank

The terms for Keeping Rank for each member's rank are fixed as the same as the number of points and number of times points are earned as with Ranking upgrade.

Silver
Those who have earned over 200 points in the last 6 months and earned more than 2 times.
Gold
Those who have earned over 700 points in the last 6 months and earned more than 7 times.
Platinum
Those who have earned over 2,000 points in the last 6 months and earned more than 15 times.
Diamond
Those who have earned over 4,000 points in the last 6 months and earned more than 30 times. and have Rakuten Card.

For example, someone who is a Silver member in July has to earn points twice and the number of points has to be over 200 in the 6 months prior to July in order to not downgrade in Rank and to keep the same Rank in August.

Example of conditions for Keeping Rank

Other Ranks work in the same way: you can Keep Rank by fulfilling the condition of minimum amount of points and number of times to earn points in the past 6 months as stipulated.

Notes

  • Members' Ranks are changed by midnight on the 2nd of each month.
  • Each member's indvidual special offers page is updated on the 2nd of each month.
  • Points earned without a purchase and Limited Time Points do not come under the Rank Up scheme.
  • If the day when points are granted is postponed due to system problems then the member Rank will be calculated on the day when the points are actually granted. Thank you for your understanding.
